Jupiter UV, LLC (“Jupiter UV”, “we”) operates jupiteruv.com (the “site”). This Privacy Policy describes the personal information Jupiter UV, LLC collects through the site, how that information is used and retained, the circumstances in which it is shared with service providers, and the rights you may exercise with respect to it.

Information we collect

• Product registration. When you register a unit, Jupiter UV, LLC collects the name, email address, mailing address, and installation date you provide at /s/<serial>/register, together with the installing contractor name where supplied. This information is used to administer the Jupiter UV Limited Warranty and to notify owners of safety or service bulletins affecting their unit.
• Contact and replacement-lamp forms. When you submit a contact or replacement-lamp form, Jupiter UV, LLC collects the name, email address, telephone number, company name (where supplied), and message content. This information is used to respond to inquiries and to fulfill replacement-lamp orders.
• Server logs. Jupiter UV, LLC’s web server records each request’s source IP address, user-agent string, and requested path. Server logs are retained for the period specified in the “Data retention” section below and are used for security monitoring and troubleshooting; they are not joined with registration or contact data.
• Analytics. Jupiter UV, LLC uses Google Analytics to measure aggregate site traffic. Google Analytics sets a cookie in your browser. You may block this cookie using any standard tracker-blocking extension without impairing other site functionality.

Information we do not sell or share

Jupiter UV, LLC does not sell your personal information for monetary consideration, and does not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct-marketing or cross-context behavioral-advertising purposes. Certain state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, define “sell” and “share” broadly to include disclosures of personal information to service providers made for business purposes. Jupiter UV, LLC’s service providers are bound by written contracts that limit their use of your personal information to performing services on our behalf and that prohibit them from retaining, using, or disclosing your personal information for any other purpose.

Service providers

Jupiter UV, LLC discloses personal information to service providers only to the extent necessary to deliver the service, by category:

• Hosting and storage — a cloud infrastructure provider hosts the site and stores published product data.
• Email — a transactional email provider delivers correspondence and service notifications.
• Shipping — a shipping carrier receives a recipient address solely to complete a shipment.
• Analytics — Google Analytics receives anonymized session data as described above.

Jupiter UV, LLC requires each service provider to protect personal information and to use it only to perform services on Jupiter UV, LLC’s behalf. Jupiter UV, LLC will disclose personal information where legally compelled to do so. Where notice to affected individuals is not prohibited by the compelling order, Jupiter UV, LLC will provide such notice.

Location of processing

Jupiter UV, LLC is located in the United States, and the personal information we collect is primarily stored and processed in the United States. Certain of our service providers (including, for example, email-delivery providers) may store or process personal information on servers located outside the United States. By using the site and providing personal information to us, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to the United States and to any other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Data retention

Jupiter UV, LLC retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide warranty service, respond to inquiries, and comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Specifically: (i) product registration records (serial number, installation date, and owner contact information) are retained for the operational life of the registered product plus seven (7) years; (ii) contact-form inquiries are retained for two (2) years; and (iii) server logs are retained for thirty (30) days. Where you request deletion of your personal information, we will delete it in accordance with the “Your rights” section below, except as retention is required by law.

Security measures

Jupiter UV, LLC maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information in its custody from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure, including encryption in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS) and access controls at rest. No method of electronic transmission or storage is one hundred percent secure, however, and Jupiter UV, LLC cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a breach of security of unencrypted personal information that materially compromises the security, confidentiality, or integrity of that information, Jupiter UV, LLC will notify affected individuals as and when required by applicable law, including the Florida Information Protection Act of 2014, Fla. Stat. §501.171.

Analytics

Jupiter UV, LLC uses Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors interact with the site — for example, which pages are viewed most often, which product pages are reached from a scanned unit QR code, and where in a flow visitors are dropping off. GA4 collects pageviews, approximate location derived from IP address (city-level, not precise), device and browser information, and interaction events such as scroll depth and outbound-link clicks. Jupiter UV, LLC does not use GA4 to build cross-site advertising profiles and does not share GA4 data with any third party for advertising purposes. You can opt out of GA4 data collection by installing Google’s browser add-on, or by using your browser’s built-in privacy controls. Do Not Track

Jupiter UV, LLC does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals transmitted by web browsers, as no uniform industry standard has been adopted for honoring such signals. Jupiter UV, LLC does not permit third parties to track your activity on the site over time or across other websites or online services for behavioral-advertising purposes.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: (i) request access to the personal information Jupiter UV, LLC has collected about you; (ii) request correction of inaccurate personal information; (iii) request deletion of your personal information; (iv) request portability of your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format; and (v) opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, send a written request to info@jupiteruv.com from the email address associated with your record. Jupiter UV, LLC will respond to verifiable consumer requests within forty-five (45) days as required by applicable law. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

These rights apply to residents of states that grant them under their privacy statutes (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Tennessee, Delaware, New Jersey, Iowa, Florida, and others as the list expands); you do not need to cite a specific statute to invoke them.

Children and minors

The site is not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13), and Jupiter UV, LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13) in violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under thirteen (13), please contact us at info@jupiteruv.com and we will promptly delete such information. Jupiter UV, LLC does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under sixteen (16) years of age, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended.

Changes to this Policy

Jupiter UV, LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this policy will reflect the date of the most recent revision. Where a change materially affects the manner in which we handle previously- collected personal information, we will notify affected individuals by email to the address on file prior to the change taking effect. Your continued use of the site following any such change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
